This year’s theme for National Stalking Awareness Week is “Join Forces Against Stalking” and will take place from 22 April until the 26 April.
To help champion this message about effective multi-agency approaches to support victims and to create preventative measures. Multiple agencies across the West Yorkshire area will be sharing content on their platforms, including West Yorkshire Combined Authority and West Yorkshire Police, in a bid to raise awareness around stalking and what can be done to combat it.
If you are unsure as to what is deemed “stalking”, it is defined as persistent and unwanted attention where the victim feels pestered and harassed. There are many forms of harassment ranging from unwanted attention from somebody, seeking a romantic relationship, to violent predatory behaviour.
