ALL BABIES CRY - YOU CAN COPE

The Bradford Partnership have launched a set of resources and links designed to help families deal with crying babies especially during the period where families are spending more time at home together due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jane Booth (Independent Chair of The Bradford Partnership) said

"It is always a challenging time for parents and carers when babies are crying. All babies cry, it is normal, however we are conscious that at this time of restricted living due to Covid-19 a baby crying can impact even more heavily on families. The page in the "Families and Friends" section of the Safeguarding Children pages of this site containing the leaflets and links are designed to provide advice, guidance and offer coping strategies to families about how best to deal with crying babies. Remember;

I - Infant crying is normal and it will stop
C - Comfort methods can sometimes soothe baby and the crying will stop
O - It’s OK to walk away if you have checked baby is safe and the crying is getting to you
N - Never, ever shake or hurt a baby"
